The value of self-healing lies in its ability to be uniquely tailored to each individual. It requires you to look deep within yourself, question yourself, and get to know yourself on a level that you may have overlooked before.
Of course, there are always going to be instances where you need additional guidance and help from people like doctors, mental health professionals, and coaches. But if you adopt a self-healing practice, you can get exponentially more benefits from any other type of healing your doing.
When I began my self-healing journey, I was terrified. I knew that there were parts of my personality that I was holding on to that were holding me back. I didn’t like who I was, and I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to change.
Through diving into various activities that I considered to be very “woo-woo” and outside of my comfort zone, did I find a community of people that were on the same mission as myself. I was able to piece together different activities that I could incorporate into my day today. These activities seemed small at the time, but the culmination of doing them regularly, as well as educating myself on lesser-known healing techniques, helped me work through some of the hardest times of my life.
On the next page, you’ll find a list of resources that I’ve compiled over the last five years. Some of these resources were created by people that I consider to be mentors from afar. The work that they’ve done has drastically influenced my life.
